Dean's latin jazz instrumental Duo with Dee Cooper on Keys is back! We've rehearsed the classics (from our first CD) and are writing and adding new material for a follow-up CD for winter/spring 2024/25. After a 4 year absence, we are booking shows and weddings, yay!!

May /24:

Dean's new solo album 'Departure Gate' is in progress. The live drum tracks were recorded by the sticks master Andy Okell in 2023. Likely the tracks will be released on the Dean Wolfe YouTube channel one by one as they are finished with an accompanying Music Video- stay tuned...

Nov /20:

The Wolfe family tragically lost their beloved first-born, Natalie Wolfe, a teenager, to suicide. Dean will be stepping away from the music scene for an extended period. Further updates will be provided in due course.

 

Sept/20:   

Dean played several tracks of cellos and banjo on Berlin-based ethereal folk artist Emaline Delapaix's brand new album "With Every Beat".

"Cooper Wolfe", a modern jazz-based duo formed with pianist/keyboardist Dee Cooper, released an instrumental debut CD in 2019 called  m_o_m_e_n_t_u_m .

Two different performing options:

​

#1- Playing/Singing originals and innovative covers from the 60's to the 2000's on acoustic guitar (with live multi-channel looping).

​

#2- Spanish Guitar- instrumentals- pop and rock & jazz performed with a fiery passionate latin flavoured style with romantic flourishes hinting of flamenco (utilizing live multi-channel looping).

After 3 years of performing a blend of Pat Metheny covers and original instrumental fusion on Vancouver Island with now disbanded jazz/rock quartet nFuze (Victoria JazzFest, Hermann's Jazz club and more) Wolfe is keeping up with fresh jazz, incorporating bold and romantic textures drawn from Spanish guitar with Dee Cooper's dynamic keyboards as "Cooper Wolfe," transfixing audiences with their unique world music atmospheres.

An active YouTuber, the "Dean Wolfe Channel"  focuses on hard rock and metal plus a penchant for prog via song reactions, analysis, reviews and of course guitar lessons. Not to mention some useful gear videos and popular looper pedal demos.
